Нові шоу Disney
11 грудня вночі відбулась особлива презентація для інвесторів від Disney. На заході компанія повідомила, що її стрімінговий сервіс Disney Plus наразі має понад 86,8 мільйона передплатників.
Лишень у період з 3 жовтня по 3 грудня кількість користувачів збільшилась на більш ніж 13 мільйонів людей. Це перевищило очікування самого сервісу й тепер платформа планує збільшити кількість унікального контенту, аби й надалі рости. Крім того, компанія анонсувала нові фільми, серіали та інші шоу, які з’являться на платформі вже найближчим часом.
Зоряні війни
Наразі у розробці знаходиться дев’ять нових серіалів у всесвіті «Зоряних воєн»:
- Obi-Wan Kenobi — це буде окремий серіал, присвячений подіям після того, як герой побачив, що його учень Енакін Скайвокер перейшов на тему сторону.

- The Bad Batch — це буде мультик про елітних клонів найманців, що намагаються знайти своє місце у галактиці.
- Andor — пріквел спін-оффа «Бунтар Один».

- The Acolyte — це буде шоу про останні дня Високої республіки. Очікується, що це буде навіть трилер.

- «Локі» (Loki) — окреме шоу, яке розповість про героя з всесвіту коміксів.
- «Соколине око» (Hawkeye) — шоу про одного з «Месників». Очікується, що це буде цілий спін-офф, присвячений супергерою.

- Очікується, що вже скоро будуть подробиці про фільм з пригодами Індіани Джонса роль якого виповнить незмінний Гаррісон Форд. За планами зйомки відбудуться вже навесні 2021 року, а сам фільм вийде десь у середині 2022 року.
- Крім того, на Disney Plus вийде одразу декілька нових мультиплікаційних серіалів, зроблених на базі інших відомих мультиках студії — Baymax!, Zootopia+, Tiana у 2022 році та Moana у 2023.
